The text in the book Aderet Eliyahu (Devarim 3:24) expounds: "And what was said about the parting of the Red Sea coming before the Exodus from Egypt. This is because the Exodus was secondary to the parting of the Red Sea, as our Sages of blessed memory said, that in Egypt they were struck by one finger, and at the Red Sea by five fingers, the whole hand." It is clear from his words that the main redemption was at the parting of the Red Sea.
