Rav Aharon Walkin - The Beis Aharon

Rabbi Aharon Walkin (1865–1942) was a prominent Lithuanian rabbi, communal leader, and prolific author. Educated at the Volozhin yeshivah and later in Kovno, he served as rabbi in Gruzdziai, Seduva, and Mstislavl before becoming the rabbi of Pinsk's important Jewish community after World War I. Active in Agudat Israel, he visited the U.S. in 1914. His literary contributions include responsa "Zekan Aharon," Talmudic novellae "Beit Aharon," and a commentary on the Shulḥan Arukh, "Ḥoshen Aharon." Rabbi Walkin and most of his family were murdered by the Nazis in 1942.
