והרשב"ם כתב, דהשבח מגיע למי שמספר אחר אכילתו ביציאת מצרים, נוסף על מה שכבר סיפר קודם האכילה, וכבר יצא ידי חובת עיקר מצות סיפור יציאת מצרים, ועל תוספת סיפור זה שאינו מחויב בה מעיקר הדין, נאמר הרי זה משובח.

The Rashbam wrote that praise is due to one who recounts after eating the Paschal lamb at the time of the Exodus, in addition to what was previously recounted during the meal. The primary obligation of the mitzvah of recounting the Exodus has already been fulfilled, and for the additional recounting that is not required by the basic law, it is said that this is praiseworthy.
