And similar things are written in the book "Shem Olam" (Part B, Chapter 5) by the revered Chafetz Chaim zt"l, and this is his wording:

Behold, it is known that we are commanded in the Torah to remember the Exodus from Egypt every day. Similarly, the matter of Shabbos, Pesach, and all the festivals—all of them include a remembrance of the Exodus from Egypt. The reason we are commanded so much about this matter is that through it, great matters in the world are clarified, because through this, faith in Hashem is strengthened, and people come to fear Him, as it is written (Exodus 14:31), "And Israel saw the great hand which Hashem used upon the Egyptians, and the people feared Hashem and believed in Hashem, etc." Additionally, through this, the providence of Hashem in the world is revealed, as it is written (Exodus 8:18), "So that you may know that I am Hashem in the midst of the earth." And by constantly remembering the matter of the Exodus, all the above-mentioned points are also strengthened within us.

And certainly, such matters have a very great and awesome purpose, which, it seems, the Exodus was worth it for this alone.

However, when we reflect and contemplate further, we find explicitly in the Torah that there is another great purpose, which is even higher than all the aforementioned purposes, for which the main reason for the Exodus from Egypt was—that through it, we would ultimately merit receiving the Torah. This was revealed by the Holy One, blessed be He, to Moshe when He urged him to be the emissary to redeem Israel, as it is written (Exodus 3:12), "And this will be the sign for you that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will serve God on this mountain," as Rashi explains there.
