And in the Haggadah of the Laws of Pesach (by the Rashab), additional reasons are given for each plague:

The plague of blood came because they prevented Israel from being fruitful and multiplying, which was considered as bloodshed (see Yevamot 63b).

The plague of frogs came because they struck the Israelites to complete the content of the bricks and cried out to them without mercy. Therefore, the frogs came and cried within their bodies.

The plague of lice came because they enslaved the Israelites with mortar and bricks made from dust. Therefore, their dust was cursed to become lice.

The plague of wild beasts came because the children of Israel were superior to the Egyptians in every way—in quantity, strength, and wisdom. The Egyptians recognized this and should have submitted to Israel as a smaller entity submits to a greater one. Instead, they reversed the order and ruled over them. Therefore, God changed the natural order, where animals typically fear humans and do not enter their domain, and here the animals entered to harm them.

The plague of pestilence came because the Egyptians hated Israel for benefiting from the milk and wool of the sheep, which were the idols of Egypt. Therefore, God struck them with pestilence to show that their beliefs were false.

The plague of boils came because they despised Israel. Therefore, they were despised with this plague, as it is written (Exodus 9:11), "And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils."

The plagues of hail and locusts came because they made the Israelites work in all kinds of field labor. Therefore, their trees and all the vegetation in the field were destroyed.

The plague of darkness came because they made the Israelites work even at night, contrary to the natural order where the time for labor is during the day. Therefore, He darkened their day.

The plague of the firstborn came because they threw the children of Israel into the Nile. Therefore, their firstborns died measure for measure.
