And in this manner, the matter of the haste during the Exodus from Egypt will be explained. In simple terms, it was to save the people of Israel just before their immersion into the 50th gate of impurity, God forbid. And the Holy One, Blessed be He, recalculated the end to hasten to take us out from there. And Rabbi Avraham, son of the Vilna Gaon (in the Haggadah of the Vilna Gaon), explained this according to the statement of the Sages in the Haggadah, that 'the dough of our forefathers did not have time to become leavened before the King of Kings revealed Himself to them and redeemed them.' He was precise in mentioning why the revelation of the Divine Presence was cited as the cause of the redemption. And he answered, because first the Divine Presence was revealed to them, and then an intense yearning was aroused in the hearts of Israel to cling to its light. Therefore, they hurried to leave and follow it, as if to say: "He made us, and we are His, His people, and the sheep of His pasture" (Psalms 100:3) – He is the one we want, and in Him, we choose, and we will follow Him into the wilderness to an unsown land, because of the sweetness in the feeling of closeness to God and attachment to Him.’ Therefore, in the story of the Exodus from Egypt, the revelation of the Divine Presence at that time is emphasized, because it stirred the departure from Egypt to freedom.
