And the Song of the Sea is recited every day, because each day in our lives is like a stormy sea threatening to drown us, and we need to pass through it with strong faith and by singing a song of confidence. Therefore, the Sages likened the trials of life to the splitting of the Red Sea, as they said (Sotah 2a) that making a match for a person is as difficult as the splitting of the Red Sea, and similarly, one’s sustenance (Pesachim 118a).

Therefore, the Mishnah Berurah (Siman 51:17) writes in the name of the holy Zohar: "He should recite the Song of the Sea with joy, and imagine in his mind as if on that day he crossed the sea." This is not found anywhere else in the prayer, where one needs to feel the matter as if it happened on that day, such as when mentioning the Exodus from Egypt. It is not said that one is obligated to see himself as if he left Egypt except on the night of the Seder. But because every day there are trials that are like the splitting of the Red Sea, one needs to pass through the day with complete faith in God, and with song and thanks to Him.
